The Heart of Orlando REP

At Orlando REP, we believe that theatre can help children find their voice.

Artistic Director, Jeff Revels, previously discussed in a blog post how theatre can bridge gaps, change hearts, change minds, inspire compassion, provoke conversation, and help children find their voice.

This past summer, Scott, a student in one of our summer camps experienced the power of what theatre can do. “This summer has been such an incredible experience for Scott. He really loves it at Orlando Family Stage and refers to it as ‘The place where he isn’t judged and can really be himself,” said Scott’s parents.

This is just one of the many experiences of a child finding their voice and feeling free to express themselves at Orlando REP.

We strive to make theatre accessible to students all across Central Florida. And one of the ways we do this is through the generous contributions made by our patrons and donors – where no gift is too small to help make a difference.

A lot of our students barely make it out of Sanford, Florida. Being able to take them for a cultural experience has opened their eyes to what literature and the arts can do for their minds and lives.

That is why Orlando Family Stage is excited to announce a new and exciting way to give, by introducing “The Heart of Orlando REP” – a new monthly giving program.

With your monthly gift, you can help create moments that matter for students all across Central Florida, and give them the opportunity to find their voice, and give them the chance to experience theatre – possibly for the first time.

A local teacher from a Title I school shared her students’ experience after a funded field trip to Orlando REP: “This experience has meant the world because a lot of our students barely make it out of Sanford, Florida. Being able to take them for a cultural experience has opened their eyes to what literature and the arts can do for their minds and lives. Our students were in awe the entire time and haven’t stopped talking about the show. Thank you!”
