Enhance the field trip experience.

The fun and learning does not need to stop when the performance is done! In classroom workshops rooted in Florida State Standards and Arts Integration to deepen student learning and engagement across the curriculum!

 Price: $50 per classroom add-on (30 student maximum per classroom)

Workshops take place at your school in the week(s) after your field trip.  Workshops at Orlando Family Stage the day of your field trip are available pending availability of space.

It is Halloween season and Junie B. has a lot to think about, especially because Paulie Allen Puffer told her five scary secrets that have made this a very scary holiday! One of those scary secrets involves bats…that land in your hair! Through the use of creative drama and puppetry making techniques students will explore various emotions, all while practicing their communication and motor skills! This creative opportunity will allow them to design and create their own friendly-bats and realize that some things are not as scary as they seem!

Everybody knows dragons LOVE tacos! But what happens when all the tacos in the world suddenly disappear and all the emergency supplies are depleted? Students will work together to help their favorite taco-loving dragons recover their favorite food and bring back the tacos! This story drama lesson supports reading comprehension and vocabulary development through an interactive read aloud experience. Students will focus on integrating critical thinking and problem solving skills to help the dragons!

Greg has started middle school and it feels like everything is going wrong! His quest to become popular has gotten him into all sorts of troublesome situations, but he is determined to document it all in his diary! With an emphasis in grammar, vocabulary development, and reading comprehension, students will collaborate together to hone in their performance and mad lib skills to explore scenes from some of Greg’s wildest adventures!
