Some of the most important things that happen in a theatre happen in the green room. It is where an MFA student spends time to someone who has been doing this for forty years, and where a conversation at intermission turns into a project a year later.

The Green Room is our way of keeping that room open all season long. For one designated performance of each production, we invite Orlando Family Stage alumni, UCF Theatre alumni, and the wider Orlando theatre community to see the show together, with time before and after to catch up with old friends and meet new ones.

If you have ever performed here, built a set here, taught a class here, or have worked as a volunteer or on staff, this is for you.

How it works

Pick a Green Room performance and buy your ticket like any other seat. Green Room performances are regular public shows, so you’ll be watching alongside the families the work was made for.

Arrive early and check in. We open the lobby ahead of the show for Green Room guests to gather, and we stick around afterward. Come with a former castmate, a classmate, a colleague, or on your own. You’ll know people.
