Resource Guides for Teachers
Every Orlando Family Stage production comes with a free resource guide made for your classroom. Inside each one you’ll find a full synopsis, conversation starters for before the show, discussion questions for after, and the Florida standards your field trip supports.
The learning starts before the bus leaves and keeps going long after the curtain call. Use the guides however they fit your day: read the synopsis aloud, project the questions, or download the PDF and photocopy to your heart’s content.
New guides are added throughout the season, so check back before every show.
- Big themes to watch for, so you can connect the show to what your class is already exploring
- A short description and full play synopsis, spoiler-level detail included, because you’re the teacher and you get to know how it ends
- Pre-show conversation starters to build excitement and set up the story
- Post-show discussion questions that turn the ride home into the second act of the field trip
- Florida B.E.S.T. Language Arts and Theatre Arts standards satisfied by the guide and the performance
