ORLANDO, FL — Orlando Family Stage is welcoming even more families to experience the magic of live theatre this summer with expanded offerings for Central Florida’s youngest audiences. In response to growing enthusiasm from parents and caregivers, the theatre is doubling its popular Baby and Me classes and debuting a brand-new interactive experience, Puppet Play Day. These joyful, developmentally tailored programs are designed especially for children ages 0–5 and their grown-ups, offering hands-on fun in a welcoming, air-conditioned space all summer long.

NEW! Puppet Play Day: Peter Rabbit

Recommended for toddlers and preschoolers (ages 1–5)
$20 per adult | $15 per child
Discounted group rates available for formal and informal groups

Hop into a world of imagination with Peter Rabbit and his mischievous siblings—Flopsy, Mopsy, and Cotton-tail! In this playful, hour-long experience, young creators will:

  • Make their very own puppets

  • Explore Mr. McGregor’s Garden through creative drama

  • Enjoy a joyful puppet show featuring their favorite floppy-eared friends

This production features both hand and shadow puppets from the MicheLee Puppets collection. While audiences may remember the characters from their appearance in Symphony Storytime with the Orlando Philharmonic, this summer’s Puppet Play Day will feature a brand-new script created just for Orlando Family Stage.

“We’re thrilled to bring Peter and friends to life in a new way,” said Nic Parks, Director of MicheLee Puppets at Orlando Family Stage. “These classic characters offer so much opportunity for imagination and mischief, and this reimagining lets young audiences be part of the story in a hands-on, creative way.”

The puppets are being lovingly restored by Parks, who continues MicheLee’s legacy as part of Orlando Family Stage’s commitment to early childhood learning through the arts.
