Just keep swimming into a week of underwater adventure! Join Nemo, Dory, Marlin, and friends as we explore the colorful coral reef, face wild ocean currents, and discover what it means to be brave. Through drama games, storytelling, and creative play, we dive deep into character and imagination. Whether you are speaking whale with Dory or surfing the EAC with Crush, the Big Blue World is waiting for you!
This program is designed for all students—whether you dream of performing onstage, simply want a fun way to make new friends, or both! This class is perfect for students who want to try something new, get creative, and have a blast—whether it is their first theatre class or their fiftieth!
What You Will Learn
- Learn lyrics and choreography to perform a variety of musical numbers
- Become a character and play pretend with and in front of others
- Vocabulary and skills related to the ‘actor toolbox’; body, voice, imagination, and concentration
- How to share opinions about a story with classmates
What to Expect
- Engaging, interactive classes led by experienced teaching artists
- A supportive and inclusive environment designed for students to connect with each other
- Creative play and theatre games that explore the world, characters, and details of the class theme
- Opportunities to share ideas and receive personalized feedback
What to Bring
- Students should bring a water bottle, a non-perishable lunch, and a snack each day. Please ensure all items are nut-free.
Extended Care
- Extended Care is available Monday-Friday, 7:30am-9am and 4pm-5:30pm for $50 per week
Presentation Day
- Final presentations are held on the last day of class, giving students the opportunity to showcase what they learned throughout the program. Family and friends are invited to attend, Friday, March 20, 3:00pm.
