From toys to monsters, emotions to automobiles, the Pixar universe is popping into our classroom for a day full of laughter and storytelling! Explore your favorite characters through imaginative play, create original scenes, and build a puppet inspired by the Pixar world. Enjoy a full day of fun where friendship, creativity, and a bit of movie magic take center stage.
What You Will Learn
- How to create a character and perform with and in front of others
- Vocabulary and skills related to the ‘actor toolbox’; body, voice, imagination, and concentration
- How to create a story with a clear beginning, middle, and end
- How to share opinions about a story with classmates
What to Expect
- Building and performing with puppets
- Engaging, interactive classes led by experienced teaching artists
- A supportive and inclusive environment designed for students to connect with each other
- Creative play and theatre games that explore the world, characters, and details of the class theme
What to Bring
- Students should bring a water bottle, a non-perishable lunch, AND a snack each day. Please ensure all items are nut-free.
