If You Give a Dragon a Taco

Everybody knows that dragons love tacos, but what happens once they actually get their claws on one? How many more will they want? What will they have for dessert? It is up to your group to decide how the story ends in this creative drama class where the tacos are plenty, and the salsa is spicy!

This program is designed for all students—whether you dream of performing onstage, simply want a fun way to make new friends, or both! This class is perfect for students who want to try something new, get creative, and have a blast—whether it is their first theatre class or their fiftieth!

What You Will Learn

  • How to create a character and perform with and in front of others 
  • Vocabulary and skills related to the ‘actor toolbox’; body, voice, imagination, and concentration
  • How to create a story with a clear beginning, middle, and end
  • How to share opinions about a story with classmates

What to Expect 

  • Engaging, interactive classes led by experienced teaching artists
  • A supportive and inclusive environment designed for students to connect with each other
  • Creative play and theatre games that explore the world, characters, and details of the class theme
  • Opportunities to share ideas and receive personalized feedback

What to Bring

  • Students are encouraged to bring a water bottle

Presentation Day: 

  • A culminating final presentation for friends and family on the last day of class, February 22, 10:30am at Orlando Family Stage.
