Deep in the Hundred Acre Wood, where we can all play! Make friends with Tigger, Eeyore, Piglet, and most of all Winnie-the-Pooh in this wholesome week of drama games and creative play. Bring the stories to life, and leave room for a smackerel of honey!
This program is designed for all students—whether you dream of performing onstage, simply want a fun way to make new friends, or both! This class is perfect for students who want to try something new, get creative, and have a blast—whether it is their first theatre class or their fiftieth!
What You Will Learn
- How to create a character and play pretend with and in front of others
- Vocabulary and skills related to the ‘actor toolbox’: body, voice, imagination, and concentration
- How to use dramatic play to tell the beginning, middle, and end of stories
- How to share opinions about a story with classmates
What to Expect
- Engaging, interactive classes led by experienced teaching artists
- A supportive and inclusive environment designed for students to connect with each other
- Creative play and theatre games that explore the world, characters, and details of the class theme
- Opportunities to share ideas and receive personalized feedback
What to Bring
- Students should bring a water bottle and a nut-free snack each day.
- All necessary class materials are provided
Extended Care
- Morning Care is available Monday-Friday, 7:30am-9am, for $50 per week
- After Care is not available
Presentation Day
- Final presentations are held on the last day of class, giving students the opportunity to showcase what they learned throughout the program. Family and friends are invited to attend. Presentation times are announced on Monday of your camp week.
