What Will You Learn:
- How to introduce yourself and enter the audition room confidently
- How to prepare your material
- How to effectively portray a character through monologue and song
What to Expect:
- Students are signing up for a 30-minute session with an audition coach.Β
- Slots are filled in order of registration. The Education Department will reach out to you with the time slot for your student on that day.
- Students perform their audition pieces individually, and then the guardian is invited into the room for the feedback and coaching session. Guardian participation is flexible depending on the needs and comfort level of the student.
What to Bring:
- Come prepared with a memorized 1-minute monologue and 16 bars of a musical theatre song (the equivalent to a verse and a chorus)Β
- If you have another specific audition you are preparing for with different requirements, please let us know!
- Bring a track or sheet music of your vocal piece. Please make sure if you bring a device that the headphone jack is accessible. There will be an accompanist in the room for coaching if you bring sheet music! Keep in mind that there will not be a live accompanist available at Orlando Family Stage auditions.
