A Celebration of Stories, Imagination, and Community
For over a century, Orlando Family Stage has created experiences that bring people together through the power of stories. Building on that legacy, the Florida Children’s Book Festival returns on February 20, 2027, for a day celebrating children’s literature, imagination, and the joy of reading.
Families, young readers, educators, authors, illustrators, and storytellers from across Florida will gather to share books, discover new favorites, and celebrate the stories that help children grow.
Festival details, participating authors, and the full schedule will be announced soon.

Help 1,000 Young Readers Turn the Page
What if one book could help a child discover the confidence to read?
At the Florida Children’s Book Festival, we are celebrating Button at the Bookstore, a new picture book by featured speakers Ann Patchett and Robin Preiss Glasser. This heartwarming story follows a lovable dog who helps a young boy find his voice, one word at a time.
Inspired by Dolly Parton’s commitment to children’s literacy, our community has already raised more than $8,000 toward our goal of giving away 1,000 books including a $5,000 anonymous matching gift!
Your gift of $20 helps put a free copy of Button at the Bookstore into the hands of a young reader.
Join us in sharing stories, building confidence, and inspiring a love of reading.
