Pack your imagination because history is calling! Inspired by Xavier Riddle and the Secret Museum, young adventurers travel through time discovering how courage, kindness, and curiosity can change the world. History is full of incredible stories… where will your next stop be?
This program is designed for all students, whether you dream of performing onstage, simply want a fun way to make new friends, or both! From first-timers to seasoned performers, everyone is welcome to try something new, get creative, and have a blast.
What You Will Learn
- How to create a character and perform with and in front of others
- Vocabulary and skills related to the ‘actor toolbox’; body, voice, imagination, and concentration
- How to create a story with a clear beginning, middle, and end
- How to share opinions about a story with classmates
What to Expect
- Engaging, interactive classes led by experienced teaching artists
- A supportive and inclusive environment designed for students to connect with each other
- Creative play and theatre games that explore the world, characters, and details of the class theme
- Opportunities to share ideas and receive personalized feedback
What to Bring
- Students should bring a water bottle and a nut-free snack each day.
Presentation Day
- Final presentations are held on the last day of class, giving students the opportunity to showcase what they learned throughout the program. Family and friends are invited to attend, Wednesday, February 24th, 11:30am
