Something suspicious is slithering through Zootopia, and Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde need your help! Follow the clues, question the suspects, and use your best detective skills to crack the case. Every clue brings you one step closer to catching the culprit. You can help restore peace to the animal city, if you can solve the myssstery first!
This program is designed for all students, whether you dream of performing onstage, simply want a fun way to make new friends, or both! From first-timers to seasoned performers, everyone is welcome to try something new, get creative, and have a blast.
What You Will Learn
- How to create a character and play pretend with and in front of others
- Vocabulary and skills related to the ‘actor toolbox’: body, voice, imagination, and concentration
- How to use dramatic play to tell the beginning, middle, and end of stories
- How to share opinions about a story with classmates
What to Expect
- Engaging, interactive classes led by experienced teaching artists
- A supportive and inclusive environment designed for students to connect with each other
- Creative play and theatre games that explore the world, characters, and details of the class theme
- Opportunities to share ideas and receive personalized feedback
What to Bring
- Students should bring a water bottle each day.
Presentation Day
- Final presentations are held on the last day of class, giving students the opportunity to showcase what they learned throughout the program. Family and friends are invited to attend, Saturday, September 26, 10:30am.
